I've been on a cloud of amazement and disappointment in the matter of 4 days. I am not a fan of the whole
"It is what it is" type attitude because to me it tells me that you don't give a shit. I don't care what you do in life you have to have a plan. Sometimes we may set goals but that doesn't mean that goal is always going to come out the way that we want it to. At least there are other avenues that you can take that can serve as a back up plan that will help you continue to attain that goal.

Sometimes I feel like I'm on "Ignorant Overload" because of people not using their common sense but I have to take into account that if people knew better they would do better. I know myself I am not perfect and I have made numerous mistakes but I learned from them. Now a days it seems that some people keep on making the same mistakes or talk a good game because it sounds good so they can get ahead in life. The best motto I've ever learned was, "Don't talk about it... Be about it."
It upsets me to see that young people are being left behind in the shuffle because their parents don't prepare them for the real world or give them advice on what to expect once they get out there and have to fend for themselves. You have different types of parenting, you have the ones who are super strict and over protective (Aggressive/Authoritative) or the ones with the even balance of rules that needs be followed (Assertive) and last but not least the type of parents that let their children do anything they want without them having to suffer the consequences (Passive).
I admit my household wasn't strict where we were put on lock down for every little thing we did but I say we were disciplined and had rules that we had to follow. If we did something wrong we had to suffer the consequences for it. Everything that we got we had to earn it. Like my grandmother use to say, "If she had it she wouldn't give it to us" What she mean't by that was if she gave us the world we wouldn't appreciate the things we have.
Just like when people look at me funny because I try to make careful choices I look at you funny because you make bad choices but all in all I am learning from both our situations. I am, you are, and we are a work in progress that has many things to be worked on.
